A Strong Finish

Strong Finish

I took a really long hiatus from my writing and from ROW80 (a fabulous, self-directed, ongoing writing challenge–you should check it out). I thought I’d jump back in for the final round of the year, but right when the round was starting I had some major life upheavals, so I postponed it.  But now the end of the year (and the round) is approaching, and I want to finish out the year with some writing accomplishments under my belt.

I’m going to jump in on the current round starting today, so for the mid-week check-in I will set my goals for the rest of the round.  I just have two goals:

  1. Finish a complete outline for Inheritance using K.M. Weiland’s fantastic outlining and structure books, especially the new workbooks that came out this week. I want to be ready to write this story, with a good idea where I’m going, by the end of the year.
  2. Do writing practice from prompts or just freewriting at least three times a week to get my words flowing again.

That’s it.  Two straightforward goals to finish out the year on a high note.  I may not do both weekly check-ins for the challenge, but I will check in at least once a week.  Looking forward to seeing what I get done in the next few weeks.

  1. Your goals for the last half of the round sound good. I only check in once a week myself, so that shouldn’t be an issue.

The field for your CAPTCHA code is off to the left of its tag, up against the left border of your page. I’m not even sure a CAPTCHA code is necessary, but if you do, it should probably go to the right of the tag for it. Just a suggestion… 🙂

    • When I was active in ROW80 before I would stress myself out to get to the two check-ins each week, so I’m trying to give myself a break this time around.

Thanks for the CAPTCHA info. The new theme must have messed with it. Plus, I don’t actually need it anymore. Forgot it was hanging around out there. 🙂
